1. Services Provided
Yalcin Kaya Translation Services provides:
- Sworn/certified translation of official documents
- Simultaneous and consecutive interpretation
- Written translation for business, legal, medical, and academic purposes
- Related linguistic services as agreed upon with clients
2. Client Responsibilities
As a client, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and legible source documents
- Specify any particular terminology or style requirements
- Ensure you have the right to have documents translated
- Provide clear instructions for delivery format and deadline
- Pay agreed fees in a timely manner
3. Delivery Times
Delivery times are estimated based on:
- Document length and complexity
- Subject matter and specialisation required
- Current workload and scheduling
- Format requirements
While we make every effort to meet agreed deadlines, we cannot guarantee delivery times for factors outside our control. Rush services are available at additional cost.
4. Fees and Payment
Pricing is determined by:
- Word or page count of source documents
- Technical complexity and subject matter
- Certification requirements (sworn translation)
- Urgency and delivery timeframe
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. A 50% deposit may be required for large projects. Payment is due within 14 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed.
5. Revisions and Corrections
We strive for accuracy in all translations. If you believe an error has been made, please notify us within 14 days of delivery. We will review and correct genuine errors at no additional cost. This does not cover stylistic preferences or changes to source documents after translation has begun.
6. Confidentiality
All client documents and information are treated as strictly confidential. We do not disclose your information to third parties except as necessary to provide services or as required by law. Client documents are securely stored and disposed of appropriately after project completion.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations must be made in writing. If work has already commenced on your project, you will be charged for work completed up to the point of cancellation. Deposits for large projects are non-refundable once work has commenced. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis depending on work completed and circumstances.
8. Limitation of Liability
We exercise due care in providing our services. However, we cannot be held liable for losses arising from inaccurate information provided by clients, misinterpretation due to illegible source texts, or circumstances beyond our control. For sworn translations, liability is limited to the cost of re-translation.
9. Intellectual Property
You confirm that you have the right to have documents translated. Translated output remains our intellectual property until full payment is received, after which rights transfer to you. We reserve the right to use non-confidential portions of translations for portfolio purposes unless you request otherwise.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
